A pair of crooked deputies steal a gold shipment, murder a young boy's father and pin the blame on a cowboy. The murdered man's son and his dog set out to prove the cowboy's innocence.

Thunderbolt is woven around Ngozi, a young elegant Igbo lady and Yinka a young man of Yoruba origin who meet and fall in love during the National Youth Service. Their eventual marriage, against folk wisdom soon develops problem fueled by rumors of extra-marital affairs which destroy trust between a devoted Ngozi and a jealous Yinka. In the ensuing drama Ngozi is laced with “Magun,” the mysterious and fatal chastity control which will make her sexual victim die instantly after sexual intercourse.

A crippled war veteran creates an advanced battle tank and gets the attention of terrorists. They kidnap his wife for the exchange of the vehicle's blueprints, so he asks his daughter and best friend for help to battle the bad guys.

That episode ends in a cliff hanger as Thunderbolt, in hot pursuit of Dirty Dawson, plunges into a river towards a treacherous waterfall. In this short episode that ties to the original, Thunderbolt escapes the fall down the waterfall with the help of the Sheriff, avoids an explosion triggered rock slide, and ultimately captures the horse thief, Dirty Dawson.
